Connecting a system without an API: what to assess.

The absence of an API can change the integration path. It does not remove the need for authorized access, testing and result verification.

Check the alternatives before using a browser.

A system may offer exports, imports, files or integrations that do not appear on its main screen. Assessment starts with permitted access methods and the actions the process actually needs.

Reading information is different from submitting a request. That distinction affects authentication, risk and result verification.

Browser interaction is an option, not a universal guarantee.

In Agentfy’s architecture, a browser executor can support assessed integrations. It needs to identify fields, follow steps and respect access conditions.

Page changes, additional authentication and security challenges can interrupt execution. The platform should explain the blocker and preserve the work, not promise to bypass these controls.

An action is not complete until its result can be verified.

A connection interruption does not prove the system failed to receive a request. Before repeating an action, its outcome needs to be checked.

Assessment therefore includes how to identify duplicates, recognize confirmations and route uncertain outcomes. A video of automated clicks is not a substitute for this validation.

What to bring to the first conversation.

Provide the tool’s name, the work that needs to happen and whether a test environment exists. Describe the steps without sending passwords, sensitive documents or customer data through the website form.

Compatibility and scope are confirmed after assessing the case, not through a generic collection of logos.
